Russia Today Writer Denied Entry Into Estonia

Recent headlines from Russian news agencies RT and Sputnik.

A writer for The Kremlin’s “Russia Today” was denied entry into Estonia before noon today. Marina Perekrestova was denied entry by Estonian customs officials after arriving in Tallinn on an Aeroflot flight earlier today.

Estonian newspaper, Postimees, quoted the Estonian Border Services who said that the “56-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation is banned from entering Estonia.”

The Russian Embassy in Tallinn said that it will ask the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for clarification.

Russia Today is a well funded Kremlin media organ tasked with promoting Russian government positions abroad via the RT/Russia Today websites and cable news networks.
